What is sterling silver?

Sterling Silver means that 92.5% of the metal is silver. To ensure the durability and strength of our jewellery, other metals are combined with silver due to its inherent softness and malleability.

Each piece in our collection is expertly handcrafted by local artisans using 925 Sterling Silver sustainably sourced from Mexico.

Where is Foiyl Jewellery stocked?

Our brand is exclusively sold online via Foiyl.com. This enables us to provide you with the most affordable prices for high quality sterling silver pieces.

Products are out of stock / unavailable in my size?

We aim to restock our collection as soon as possible. As our jewellery is crafted in Mexico, please note that there might be a slight delay contingent on the shipping times to Australia.

We are in the process of expanding our sizing options. If the item you are interested in is unavailable in your size, please reach out to us at hello@foiyl.com.

How can I check my size?

Please refer to our Size Guide for information on how to confirm your bangle, pendant, and ring size. Please be advised that ring sizes are not universal, and there may be slight variations between our sizes and those offered by other brands. You may also purchase a ring sizer to confirm your size.

Wear and Care

How do I take care of my sterling silver jewellery?

We recommend wiping your silver with our microfibre cloth after every wear. This helps to remove the transfer of oil residues from your skin to the jewellery, preventing tarnishing.

Avoid wearing your silver jewellery when swimming, showering, or bathing, as chlorine and salt water can damage your pieces. Avoid wearing your jewellery when exercising to avoid tangling, scratching, and tarnishing. Please note that chemicals in cosmetics, skin creams, hairsprays, and perfumes may also damage your piece, and should be avoided.

How should I store my jewellery?

We recommend storing your silver in original Foiyl packaging, including the microfibre pouch. Always keep your jewellery in a cool dry place, away from heat, humidity and moisture. To avoid scratching and tangling we advise storing pieces separately.

How can I clean tarnished sterling silver jewellery?

Tarnishing is a natural process that occurs when some of the metals in the alloy come to the surface. The best way to prevent tarnishing is to wipe your sterling silver with a microfibre cloth after every wear.

For mild tarnishing, you can try washing your piece in a very mild phosphate free detergent. Rinse in warm water, then polish gently with a silver cloth.

To remove heavier tarnishing, we recommend the brands Brasso and Hagerty's Silver Clean. Please follow the manufacturer's directions carefully, as Foiyl Jewellery is not responsible for any damage that occurs during jewellery maintenance.

Does my jewellery come with a warranty?

We are very mindful to check each piece of jewellery for manufacturing defects before sending. As each of our pieces are made by hand, minor imperfections are to be expected. However, in the event of items exhibiting a manufacturing defect, Foiyl Jewellery has a voluntary warranty period of 3 months from the purchase date.

All faults deemed as the result of wear and tear are not covered by this warranty. This includes items that have not been handled as per our care instructions or damaged by accident or misuse. Please note that metals naturally tarnish over time, however the process will be accelerated by chemicals in perfume, salty air, sulphur, skin creams, hairspray, chlorine, and acidic skin pH. The extent to which tarnishing (oxidation) occurs will depend on your individual skin and jewellery care routine. Please note that this warranty does not cover tarnishing caused by the above reasons.

Any modifications made to your jewellery will void the voluntary warranty. We do not take responsibility for lost jewellery.

Please note that our voluntary warranty does not override your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Orders

How long will it take to recieve my order?

We aim to dispatch your order within approximately 1-3 business days of purchase. Depending on where you are located within Australia, most orders will arrive via standard post within 2-8 business days or express post within 1-4 business days.

Please note that we do not currently ship internationally.

Can I make changes to my order?

At this time we are unable to amend orders, such as changing ring size or adding more products. Provided your order hasn’t been dispatched, we can update any personal details, such as your shipping address.

Orders may be cancelled and refunded providing the order has not been shipped. Please contact us at hello@foiyl.com as soon as possible with a subject line 'Order Cancellation'. We will require details including your name, billing address, and order number for us to cancel your order.

What is your exchange / returns policy?

We offer refunds, minus the shipping cost, on unworn items in original packaging. Returns must be initiated within 14 days of the purchase date. Please email us at hello@foiyl.com to initiate your return.

*Returns exclude earrings, which cannot be returned due to health and safety regulations.

We do not offer exchanges, store credit, or gift cards at this time. Please refer to our Shipping & Returns page for further information.
